Anyone interested in competing at this event please let me know asap. We will be helping with the travelling costs from the club funds, hoping to pay for accommodation on Saturday the 16th. This event will be of a high standard and not to be missed.

Well done to all the students who competed in the WKA Scottish Championships. Thank you for all your support especially Helen Milne and Billy Bain for looking after the first aid.

Well done to Cameron Milne  and Andy Leslie who came 3rd place at the IAKSA open on Sunday and all the other students who travelled.

I have added a new plugin to the blog software so that users can upload an avatar. (If you don’t know what an avatar is, it is a small picture that can be used to identify you).

These images can be any format, either PNG, GIF, JPG, but they should be less than 10k in size, and best pixel size is less than 100×100 px.

If you do not have an avatar in the system, it is easy to upload one, just log into the site with your details and go to your profile, near the bottom of your profile page you will see the avatar upload box, just upload your desired image. As this is a family friendly site, please keep your avatars clean, if I think any are not fit for a family site, then I will delete the avatar. When saving your image, please save it as your username, so that other avatars may not be overwritten… I have noticed that the avatars are assigned to your email address, so hopefully no avatars will be overwritten.

The avatars will appear on the comments only.

Also, if you do not yet have an avatar, then you will have the automatic mystery man icon.

Hopefully this will be used by all and increase the comments section.

I have fixed a problem that Internet Explorer 6 & 7 were having for the main site, please bear with me for wordpress, I will need more time to iron out some other issues with IE6 & 7.

The site won’t look as good as other good browsers, but it will serve the purpose and let everyone see the navigation bar at the side.

If anyone is still having problems viewing the sidebar of the site, please delete your Cache/Temporary Internet files, web history and re-boot your browser.  This should force any old cached versions of a file that I was using to disapear from your computer and be replaced with a fresh copy of the style sheet.

Edit: mainly all fixed for all parts of site for IE 6 & 7 (still not 100% perfect), but not dedicating too much time on non standard implementation of standard code. For a better & richer internet experience please go to our links page and click for a free browser.
